Lithuania Approves US$16.7 Million for Green Industrial Development

On 27 October, Lithuania announced that the European Investment Bank had approved €14 million, approximately US$16.7 million, from the Modernisation Fund for the first green industrial-park pilot. Up to another €20 million, approximately US$23.8 million, has been earmarked for a second project, although that allocation is not yet confirmed spending. The programme aims to improve sustainable energy use and industrial energy independence.
